Out of network with all plans
I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, stress management, emotional dysregulation, women’s issues, self-esteem, relational concerns, couples counseling, parenting, career support, and phase of life issues. Having experienced first-hand the benefits of therapy, I am committed to working with you to regain hope, achieve personal growth, and live a satisfying life that you deserve.
Through my own journey with anxiety and depression stemming from childhood trauma, I have learned how to navigate difficult emotions in healthier ways. I understand the challenges that arise from divorce and single-parenting, and empower couples to identify solutions to improve their ability to communicate, connect, and co-parent more effectively. Common areas addressed in couples counseling include pre-marital counseling, co-parenting, sex and intimacy, infidelity, and separation or divorce.
With fifteen years of experience as a licensed therapist, my goal is to create a sense of safety within the therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard and understood without judgment. I believe it is important to meet clients where they are and help them stretch just outside their comfort zone towards growth. I use an integrative therapeutic framework incorporating mindfulness strategies. I also use creativity and humor in my practice.
As the Clinical Director of the Wellness Connection LLC, I lead collaborative efforts among our team of professionals to improve the overall care of our clients. A Virginia Board-Approved Supervisor, I also provide supervision for Interns and Residents in Counseling.
