About Me:

Through my own journey with anxiety and depression stemming from childhood trauma, I have learned to navigate difficult emotions in healthier ways. I understand the challenges that arise from divorce and single-parenting, and will teach you skills to improve your ability to communicate, connect, and co-parent more effectively.

If you're not living in alignment with your core values, no wonder you're feeling unhappy and dysregulated every day! I'll meet you right where you are and help you stretch just outside your comfort zone towards growth. I incorporate mindfulness, creativity, and humor in my practice. I've been called the "Carrot Top" of counseling because, as a tactile learner, I like to use props and visual aids when offering psychoeducation. Best of all, I'm human too, and just may laugh or shed a tear right along side you.

Passionate about working with adults and couples, I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, women’s/men's issues, relational issues, betrayal trauma, and Complex PTSD. Common areas addressed in couples counseling include pre-marital counseling, co-parenting, sex/intimacy issues, infidelity, and separation or divorce.

With seventeen years of experience as a licensed therapist, my goal is to create a sense of safety within the therapeutic relationship where you feel heard and understood without judgment. Life beats us up enough. Why are you reaching for the stick? You are enough! Now, let's roll up our sleeves and begin working towards believing that.

As the Clinical Director of the Wellness Connection LLC, I lead collaborative efforts among our team of clinicians to improve the overall care of our clients. A Virginia Board-Approved Supervisor, I also provide supervision for Interns and Residents in Counseling.

If you feel we might work well together, let's connect.

More About Me:

In my free time, I like to...

Wait! Free time, what's that? A more honest response would be that I daydream about lying on a sunny beach, reading for pleasure with no laundry to fold or weeds to pull. I enjoy going to a winery with family and friends, decorating for holidays, snuggling my pup, upscaling a thrift store find, doing arts and crafts, and listening to live music.
