With extensive experience treating individuals with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship issues, and trauma, my clients primarily include older adolescent girls and women who are overwhelmed with stress and anxiety at school, work, or home. I empower my clients to improve their self-esteem and self-confidence. Through encouragement and support, I help clients find their own voice and enable them to be a self-advocate. Utilizing a whole-body approach, I help individuals recognize how all aspects of the person function together and are equally important.
In addition to my work with individuals, I also enjoy working with couples to strengthen their bond and improve their emotional connection. A results-oriented therapist, I am invested in helping my clients make long-lasting changes that will benefit them.
I recognize the most important factor in effecting change is the therapeutic relationship, and strive to provide a safe, comfortable environment where my clients feel heard and understood. I want my clients to lead more meaningful and healthier lives and believe that anyone who has the desire to change can do so. I believe in the importance of learning to manage stress and our emotions, even when you can’t control your environment.

More About Me:
Born and raised in Maryland, I now reside in Virginia with my husband. Prior to working as a psychotherapist, I worked in community mental health and as a mobile crisis clinician. I love animals and connecting with nature. I am also very passionate about educating people on mental health, improving access to services, and decreasing the stigma that still surrounds mental illness.
