Let’s pause here for a moment and applaud you for taking the first step in building the life that you want. It is brave to be vulnerable and this moment took courage. Finding the right therapist can be an overwhelming task, and today you set aside your demanding to-do list and made it a priority.

I have over 12 years of experience proving quality therapeutic services to adults, adolescents and children. My specialties include depression, anxiety, and trauma diagnoses. I have also had the privilege of working alongside military families for 20+ years and understand the challenges of military life, family separations and unifications, multiple moves, transitions, combat stress, PTSD, and deployment cycles.

As a Licensed Behavior Analyst for the past 11 years, I have also worked closely with children and adults on the Autism Spectrum, and those diagnosed with emotional and/or behavioral challenges. I have also counseled their parents and siblings through various family and marriage stressors that accompany an ASD diagnosis. In this role, I have focused on behavior management, special education, school-based concerns, parenting skills, and family systems.

I believe that the greatest gift that you can give someone is the feeling of being truly seen. It is my goal to create a safe, welcoming, and accepting space for you to be heard and understood. Sometimes we want someone to listen and other times we want to set goals to see progress. I can provide both.

From a young age, I have always admired people who were on a quest to know themselves more fully and to become the most authentic version of themselves, no matter how many times life tried to knock them down. As Brene Brown states, “When I see people stand fully in their truth, or when I see someone fall down, get back up, and say "Damn, that really hurt, but this is important to me and I’m going in again." My gut reaction is "What a fighter!"

Everyone has a vision of who they want to be. We are a team working towards your goals together. I look forward to meeting you and diving into your story. Here, you will be met with nonjudgmental understanding, sincere empathy, warmth, and humor.

As a Resident in Counseling, I am under the direct supervision of Casey Sarafinas, LPC.
