I specialize in working with children and adolescents ages 5 to 17 and have extensive experience treating anxiety, stress, depression, anger management, emotional dysregulation, grief, hyperactivity, low self-esteem, social skills, and symptoms associated with Autism.

As a Board Certified Art Therapist, I combine traditional therapy with art making. Art Therapy focuses on the process of creativity rather than the product of the art. The fusion of traditional therapy and Art Therapy offers a holistic approach that allows for clients to express themselves in a safe environment.

I strive to build connections through authenticity and offer a creative, calming, and nurturing environment. In my practice, I focus on treating the whole person which allows my clients to experience true self-expression, healing, and growth. Art therapy is a creative process that works well for individuals of all ages, especially children. This practice allows them to talk about their emotions more freely, find new ways to gain personal insight, and develop new coping skills. I look forward to starting your creative journey toward healing today!

More About Me:

Growing up in the Northern Virginia area, I ventured north for undergraduate and graduate school. I played Division III lacrosse at Rowan University in New Jersey, and attended graduate school in Brooklyn (where I ate a lot of bagels and pizza). My previous work experiences include psychiatric hospitals with adolescents, adults, and an inpatient substance and detoxification unit. I have also worked in therapeutic day schools. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my two cats, watching different fantasy movies, and playing frisbee golf on the weekends with my fiancé.
