Welcome! I’m Emily House, LCSW and I'm delighted that you’re considering my services for your mental health needs. I have worked with youth of all ages and their families in a variety of settings over the past 20+ years to include public school, therapeutic day school, inclusive recreation, adaptive recreation, and private practice. With a specialization in play therapy as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT™), I work with individuals of all ages (3+) to help them navigate life’s challenges. I believe in the transformative power of play as a therapeutic tool, allowing clients to express themselves and heal in a natural and engaging way. My approach is tailored to each person’s unique needs, focusing on holistic well-being and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for growth, healing, and connection. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or a loved one, I’m here to help you uncover the best path forward. In therapy, I commonly address a wide range of issues to support individuals of all ages. Some of the key areas include:
- Anxiety and Depression: Helping clients manage symptoms, develop coping strategies, and improve overall emotional well-being.
- Trauma and PTSD: Assisting individuals in processing traumatic experiences and building resilience.
- Behavioral Challenges: Supporting children and adults with symptoms of ADHD, Autism, and ODD.
- Family and Relationship Issues: Supporting families in improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relationships.
- Life Transitions and Difficulties: Guiding clients through significant changes such as divorce, loss, or relocation and school challenges.
- Social Skills and Peer Relationships: Helping children and adolescents develop healthy social interactions and friendships.
Each therapeutic approach is tailored to the unique needs of the individual and family, ensuring a holistic and supportive path to healing and growth. If you have any specific concerns or questions, feel free to ask!
